Ismael was born in Habana Cuba and immigrated to the US when he was 8 yrs old. He has always had an interest in animals. He started working as a veterinary technician in 1993 and has stayed the field almost continuously since. In 2004 after many years of dog ownership and just about a full spectrum of dog breeds and mixes owned, he got his first Anatolian Shepperd, which lead him to seek more knowledge in dog behavior. After completing an apprenticeship with J&K K9 academy, he can now offer patients and clients help with dogs that have behavioral issues.
He has extensive experience with some exotic pets, and has owned parrots and other hookbills as well as reptiles (snakes, monitor lizards). He has raised Nigerian Miniature goats and fowls. Currently he has a 4 dogs in his family. Sugar (Anatolian Shepperd), Cootter (Walker Hound), Scooby (West highland white ) and Elle, a boxer mix.
When he is not working at the Hospital or as a K9 behavioral modification, he likes to get out into nature and enjoy Airboating in the Everglades or flats fishing in Flamingo or anywhere outdoors.
